Roel Brouwer is the coordinator of the Research Engineering team at Utrecht University. The research engineers are part of the RDM Support network. The team works together with researchers in projects and consults on research IT matters.

Roel completed the bachelor programmes Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science and the master programme Computing Science at Utrecht University. In December 2017 he commenced a PhD on scheduling problems in electricity networks at the department of Information and Computing Sciences and started working as a Research Engineer at Information and Technology Services (ITS). From March 2024 onwards, he is the coordinator of the Research Engineering team.
